Context
As part of high-value Data Center projects, we are seeking a Project Financial Controller to support operational teams in the economic and financial management of projects.
The role is embedded within project teams and contributes to cost control, financial performance improvement, and key performance indicator monitoring in a demanding technical environment.
Responsibilities & Duties
Project financial management
• Ensure financial monitoring of ongoing projects and contracts.
• Control incurred costs, margins, and project profitability.
• Analyze variances between budget, forecast, and actual results.
• Contribute to securing project financial targets.
Budget & Forecast
• Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Build and update periodic forecasts.
• Identify financial risks and propose appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor key financial performance indicators.
Reporting & Analysis
• Produce monthly reports and management dashboards.
• Perform financial analyses to support decision-making.
• Participate in monthly closings and ensure data quality in financial reporting.
• Provide ad hoc analyses for management and project teams.
Support to operational teams
• Advise project managers and business managers on financial matters.
• Participate in the economic monitoring of construction and engineering operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of management tools and processes.
• Promote best practices in performance tracking within teams.
Required Profile
• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Management Control, Accounting, or equivalent.
• 3 to 8 years of experience in operational controlling or project financial management.
• Experience appreciated in sectors such as:
- Construction
- Engineering
- Energy
- Technical infrastructure
- Data Centers
• Good understanding of project management and business control mechanisms.
• Ability to work in a multi-project, performance-driven environment.
