Context
As part of bridge construction and rehabilitation projects, we are looking for a Bridge Works Engineer – Construction Supervision (MOE) to ensure the technical and operational monitoring of works during the execution phase.
As a member of a construction supervision team, you will work on complex civil engineering projects and ensure the proper execution of the structures while guaranteeing compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements, as well as quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Responsibilities & Duties
Work Supervision
- Ensure the daily monitoring of works on new construction or rehabilitation bridge structures.
- Verify the compliance of the completed works with the engineering studies, drawings, and construction contracts.
- Monitor the progress of the operations and compliance with the schedule.
- Identify technical deviations and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
Construction Supervision (MOE)
- Represent the project management team on the construction site.
- Participate in and lead site meetings.
- Prepare meeting minutes and monitor the implementation of decisions.
- Coordinate contractors and the various project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.
Quality, Safety & Acceptance
- Monitor the quality of the completed structures.
- Follow up on testing, inspections, and technical controls.
- Participate in pre-acceptance activities and the clearance of punch list items.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices on the construction site.
Project Control & Reporting
- Provide technical reporting and work progress updates to the Project Manager.
- Monitor cost, schedule, and quality performance indicators.
- Anticipate risks and propose appropriate solutions.
- Ensure effective coordination between the design teams, construction teams, and the client.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Construction Supervision (MOE) on bridge structure projects.
- Ability to independently supervise bridge, viaduct, or other bridge structure works.
- Experience in new construction and/or rehabilitation of bridge structures.
- Good knowledge of site supervision procedures, construction contracts, and applicable regulations.
- Presence in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region is considered a strong asset.
