Context
As part of the development of new-build construction projects in the elevator sector, we are looking for a Works Engineer to manage a portfolio of projects and ensure the smooth running of operations, from order intake through to handover of the works.
The position is aimed at a motivated, organized candidate with excellent interpersonal skills. Initial experience in works management is appreciated, but the candidate will receive support when taking up the position.
Main Responsibilities
• Manage construction projects in compliance with cost, quality, schedule and safety objectives.
• Manage a portfolio of projects in accordance with contractual commitments.
• Organize, coordinate and monitor construction sites through to handover.
• Support field teams to ensure the proper execution of the works.
• Monitor project progress through reporting and performance indicators.
• Coordinate internal teams and partner companies.
• Participate in the drafting of specifications and technical requirements.
• Participate in site meetings and manage relationships with clients.
• Respond to calls for tender and draft technical and commercial proposals.
• Contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities and qualifying prospects’ needs.
Technical Skills
• Knowledge of works management in the construction sector.
• Good command of project management (schedule, budget, quality, risks).
• Ability to coordinate several stakeholders on site.
• Knowledge of new-build construction processes.
• Proficiency in drafting technical documents and responses to calls for tender.
• Experience in the elevator sector or technical equipment is an asset.
Candidate Profile
• Bac+5 degree (Engineering School or Master’s degree) or Bac+2/3 with significant initial experience in works management.
• Initial experience in construction site management is desirable, with no significant seniority requirement.
• Resourceful, autonomous profile eager to learn.
• Category B driver’s license appreciated for travel to construction sites.
• Fluent French.
