Context

The position involves leading CSA (Civil, Structural & Architectural) construction activities on large-scale industrial projects within the data center sector.

The role covers the construction phase from site mobilization through handover, with strong accountability for schedule performance, technical compliance, subcontractor coordination, quality, and site supervision. It requires a hands-on professional capable of leading multidisciplinary activities, managing construction interfaces, and contributing to the continuous improvement of construction processes and practices.

Main Responsabilities

  • Lead the execution of CSA construction packages in accordance with project quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
  • Review civil and structural design packages for constructability, buildability, and compliance before execution.
  • Raise and follow up RFIs and technical queries through timely resolution.
  • Ensure construction works comply with approved For-Construction drawings, specifications, design assumptions, and applicable codes.
  • Identify technical deviations, manage NCRs, coordinate technical concessions, and ensure corrective works restore full compliance.
  • Supervise earthworks, deep foundations, concrete structures, slabs-on-grade, underground utilities, roads, and external works.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and optimize construction sequencing in line with the project baseline.
  • Own and monitor the CSA schedule, including 3-to-6-week look-ahead forecasts.
  • Identify schedule, technical, quality, and execution risks and implement appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Ensure weekly progress, risk, compliance, and forecast reporting.
  • Enforce requirements related to permits, lifting plans, excavations, and temporary works.
  • Ensure the As-Built dossier is complete, traceable, and auditable, including drawings, test certificates, conformity statements, and required approvals.
  • Lead CSA activities through handover and coordinate interfaces with other technical disciplines.
  • Promote best practices, continuous improvement, and a high-performance project culture.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements and French labour regulations.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in civil, structural, and architectural construction for complex industrial projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, underground utilities, roads, and external works.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, design assumptions, and technical compliance.
  • Experience with RFIs, NCRs, design changes, technical concessions, and As-Built documentation.
  • Knowledge of EPC and/or Design & Build contracts.
  • Strong construction planning and schedule management capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of project document management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong understanding of CSA interfaces with other engineering and construction disciplines.
  • Experience in data centers or critical facilities is strongly preferred.

 Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in site construction and CSA supervision, within a contractor or owner environment.
  • Proven experience in a CSA Construction Leader, Construction Manager, or equivalent supervisory position.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors and coordinating multiple project stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of complex construction project lifecycles.
  • Ability to take technical decisions within the assigned scope and supervise construction teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French.
  • Strong writing, reporting, and presentation capabilities.
