Role Context

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead and coordinate architectural and MEP design activities on large-scale urban projects in Riyadh. The role requires strong technical leadership to ensure design integration, constructability, and alignment with project requirements, budgets, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate architectural, MEP, and multidisciplinary design teams
• Ensure effective design integration between architecture, MEP, structural, and specialist disciplines
• Review design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards
• Lead design coordination workshops and clash resolution sessions
• Interface with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout all design stages
• Ensure design outputs align with construction sequencing, cost, and programme constraints
• Support value engineering and design optimization initiatives
• Manage design changes and assess their impact on cost and schedule
• Ensure timely delivery of design packages in line with project milestones

Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline
• 8–15 years of experience in design management on major urban or infrastructure projects
• Proven experience coordinating Architectural and MEP disciplines
• Experience on mega or giga projects is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of design development, approvals, and construction interfaces
• Ability to work in complex, multidisciplinary environments

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in design coordination and multidisciplinary integration
• Solid understanding of Architectural and MEP systems
• Experience with BIM coordination and digital design tools is an advantage
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to resolve technical conflicts and drive decisions
• Excellent organizational and reporting skills
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
