Role Summary

You will take ownership of the backbone of telecom networks, ensuring the stability, evolution, and performance of core infrastructure supporting both mobile and fixed services. The role covers multiple technical layers, from radio integration to core signalling and operational systems, in a highly critical environment.

Main Missions

Core Network Engineering & Operations

• Offer, deploy, and operate core network platforms supporting subscriber mobility, authentication, and service logic
• Maintain and evolve core components such as mobility, subscriber databases, and service control systems
• Supervise operational platforms used for monitoring, fault management, and service assurance
• Coordinate with radio teams to ensure seamless interaction between access and core networks
• Guarantee service continuity, resilience, and compliance with availability targets

Deployment, Integration & Troubleshooting

• Configure and support signalling and control protocols used in telecom core networks
• Lead technical activities related to network rollouts, upgrades, and vendor migrations
• Analyse incidents, identify root causes, and implement long-term corrective actions
• Monitor traffic trends and anticipate capacity constraints
• Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation and operational procedures

Performance & Modernization

• Introduce intelligent tools to improve network observability and proactive issue detection
• Contribute to automation and simplification of operational processes
• Assess emerging technologies and support their integration into the existing ecosystem
• Work closely with IT, cloud, and digital teams on network transformation programs

Technical Background

Core Competencies

• Solid mastery of telecom core networks across legacy and next-generation technologies
• Strong exposure to operational support environments and network supervision tools
• Good understanding of radio access concepts and their impact on the core layer
• Hands-on experience with subscriber management, mobility, and service platforms
• Ability to operate across both fixed and mobile network contexts

Professional Experience

• At least 5 years in a telecom engineering or core network role
• Experience handling complex, multi-vendor environments
• Proven involvement in large-scale deployments or network evolution projects
• Familiarity with IT and system integration constraints in telecom environments

Advanced & Emerging Topics

• Exposure to data-driven optimization or AI-assisted operations
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and orchestration concepts
• Understanding of virtualized or cloud-based network functions is a plus

Education & Certifications

• Degree in telecommunications, computer engineering, or a comparable technical field
• Vendor or industry certifications are valued
• Previous experience in Middle East telecom environments is appreciated
• Ability to work professionally in English; Arabic is an advantage
