Role Context
We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to support cost control, monitoring, and reporting activities on PIF-funded mega and giga projects in Riyadh. The role requires strong expertise in project cost management, financial reporting, and governance, ensuring full alignment with PIF standards and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems in line with PIF governance frameworks
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, actuals, and forecasts
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost performance dashboards for PIF
- Track variations, change orders, and potential cost risks
- Perform cost variance analysis and identify trends and corrective actions
- Coordinate with planning, contracts, procurement, and commercial teams
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and audit readiness of all cost data
- Contribute to executive-level reporting and management reviews
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, or Cost Management
- 8–15 years of experience in cost engineering or cost control roles
- Proven experience on mega or giga infrastructure projects
- Direct exposure to PIF reporting, governance, or client-side requirements is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of project financial controls and commercial processes
- Ability to work in complex, high-governance environments
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in cost control, budgeting, and forecasting
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and cost reporting tools
- Experience with project controls systems (ERP, cost management software)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and reporting accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
