Context

As part of major infrastructure projects, we are looking for an HV/LV Electrical Engineer to lead the technical management of detailed design studies and coordinate the various project stakeholders.

As the technical reference, you will be the primary point of contact for engineering design offices, construction teams, the Engineer (Project Management), and subcontractors. You will ensure the technical quality of the engineering studies, compliance with contractual requirements, and adherence to the project schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Study Management

  • Review and analyze the input data for High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical engineering studies.
  • Lead the engineering design offices responsible for your scope of work.
  • Ensure technical consistency across the various technical disciplines.
  • Guarantee the quality of deliverables and their compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify technical risks and propose appropriate corrective actions.

Technical Coordination

  • Organize and lead technical meetings with the various project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines (HVAC, civil engineering, architecture, track works, etc.).
  • Participate in technical coordination meetings.
  • Manage comments resulting from coordination meetings and ensure they are properly addressed.
  • Ensure effective communication between engineering teams and construction teams.

Document Management

  • Monitor document registers and production schedules.
  • Update document transmittal records.
  • Manage the follow-up of technical approvals.
  • Review construction documents before issuance.
  • Monitor action logs and technical changes throughout the project.

Interface with Construction Teams

  • Ensure coordination between the detailed design teams and construction teams.
  • Participate in defining construction methods.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues encountered on site.
  • Participate in testing, technical inspections, and the preparation of system commissioning.

Subcontractor Management

  • Provide technical leadership to subcontracted engineering design offices.
  • Monitor their production and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Approve deliverables before submission to the client or the Engineer (Project Management).
  • Monitor production schedules and associated action plans.

Technical Skills

  • Management of HV/LV detailed design engineering studies.
  • Multidisciplinary technical coordination.
  • Review and approval of technical deliverables.
  • Document management and approval tracking.
  • Monitoring of technical interfaces.
  • Coordination of engineering design offices and subcontractors.
  • Participation in testing and commissioning activities.
  • Monitoring of technical schedules and action plans.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical software related to electrical engineering studies.

Candidate Profile

  • Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in similar positions.
  • Proven experience on complex infrastructure projects such as metro, Grand Paris, tunnels, railways, nuclear facilities, data centers, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical installations.
  • Good understanding of detailed design engineering, technical coordination processes, and document control.
  • Strong experience in multidisciplinary coordination and the management of engineering design offices.
  • Good knowledge of the standards and regulations applicable to electrical installations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a demanding and highly technical project environment.
