Position Context
As part of technical building projects in the tertiary or industrial sectors, we are looking for an HVAC Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning of technical installations, ensure their contractual and regulatory compliance, and conduct a thorough performance follow-up until final handover.
This role requires strong autonomy, coordination capabilities with multiple stakeholders, and a technical eye to validate full system compliance in the final phase of project delivery.
Main Responsibilities

Oversee the commissioning of HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, BMS)

Coordinate between site teams, design offices (BET), project management (MOE), and clients (MOA)

Develop commissioning schedules, write procedures and test protocols

Execute and monitor functional tests, performance measurements, and compliance checks

Supervise the resolution of punch list items and project close-out

Draft commissioning reports, test sheets, and contribute to the technical as-built documentation (DOE)
Key Skills Required

Technical expertise in HVAC systems, hydraulic and air systems, and regulation/control

Proficiency with measurement and testing instruments (flowmeters, anemometers, multimeters, probes, etc.)

Strong ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, P&IDs, and control synoptics

Knowledge of green building standards (HQE, BREEAM, LEED) and related energy performance requirements

Attention to detail, leadership, and excellent interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
Tools & Standards Mastered

Tools: Measurement equipment, supervision/BMS software, performance tracking tools

Standards & Certifications: HQE, BBC, BREEAM, LEED, thermal and environmental regulations

Norms: Knowledge of French and international standards applicable to HVAC installations
Profile

Education: Bac +2 to Bac +5 (equivalent to Associate’s to Master’s degree) in HVAC engineering, energy systems, electrical engineering, or related fields

Experience: Minimum 5 years in HVAC commissioning or start-up

Ability to lead critical project phases and produce comprehensive technical documentation

Soft skills: Strong attention to detail, leadership, and clear technical communication
