Context

As part of a wind farm construction project, we are looking for an Installation Lead to supervise the installation and pre-assembly operations of wind turbines.

The position is primarily focused on the operational management of installation teams, coordination of site operations, and monitoring the quality of the work. Experience in wind turbine installation is essential, ideally gained on offshore projects, or alternatively on onshore projects.

Responsibilities & Duties

Installation Operations Management

• Supervise the pre-assembly and installation operations of wind turbine components.
• Organize and coordinate the daily activities of the installation teams.
• Ensure compliance with the schedule and operational objectives.
• Monitor the proper application of installation procedures and working methods.
• Ensure the availability of the required personnel, materials, and equipment.

Team Management & HSE

• Supervise, support, and assign tasks to the installation teams.
• Conduct safety briefings and promote an exemplary HSE culture.
• Ensure compliance with EHS/HSE procedures and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Participate in risk assessments and implement the necessary preventive actions.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel involved.

Technical Supervision & Quality

• Provide technical support when issues arise during installation operations.
• Supervise work on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform quality inspections of completed operations.
• Verify that installations comply with technical and contractual requirements.
• Participate in the management of non-conformities and the follow-up of corrective actions.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare daily work progress reports.
• Monitor testing, inspections, and incidents.
• Track performance, quality, and safety indicators.
• Provide regular reporting to the project management.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree (2-5 years of higher education) in mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, energy, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in supervising wind turbine installation operations.
• Mandatory experience on onshore projects; offshore experience is considered a strong advantage.
• Experience managing technical teams on construction sites.
• Good knowledge of assembly, pre-assembly, and installation operations for industrial equipment.
• Ability to work on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation schedule.
