Context
As part of the installation of an onshore wind farm, the mission is to ensure the overall operational management of the site, from team mobilization through to acceptance of the installations.
The position covers resource organization, safety, quality, compliance with budget and schedule, as well as coordination of subcontractors and various stakeholders. The Site Manager also ensures preparation for the handover of the installations to the commissioning and then maintenance teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage all site activities: installation, lifting, assembly, and interfaces with commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Coordinate supervisors, field teams, subcontractors, and the resources required on site.
- Monitor work progress on a daily basis and anticipate schedule deviations.
- Manage interfaces with the client, subcontractors, logistics, and project teams.
- Identify site risks and lead corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance of the works with procedures, drawings, and contractual requirements.
- Lead site meetings and provide reporting to the Project Manager.
- Monitor non-conformities, punch lists, and outstanding items through to resolution.
- Prepare and coordinate the handover of the installations to the commissioning and then maintenance teams.
Technical Skills
- Strong skills in onshore wind site management.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering.
- Good command of HSE requirements and quality management.
- Management and monitoring of site schedules, budgets, and costs.
- Coordination of subcontractors, supervisors, and field teams.
- Management of interfaces between the various site stakeholders.
- Monitoring of non-conformities, punch lists, and outstanding items.
- Good knowledge of acceptance and handover processes to commissioning and maintenance.
- Professional English is essential.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a site environment, ideally in supervisory or management roles.
- Significant experience in the onshore wind sector.
- Higher education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Experience coordinating field teams and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements simultaneously.
- Significant national and international mobility required.
