Context
As part of onshore wind farm installation projects, we are looking for an Onshore Wind Supervisor responsible for the daily technical and operational supervision of wind turbine installation operations, under the responsibility of the Site Manager.
You will ensure the proper execution of the works and compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements, through to preparation for the handover of the installations to the commissioning teams.
The position involves regular presence on site and significant mobility.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise wind turbine assembly and installation operations.
- Supervise heavy lifting operations and the activities of assembly teams.
- Monitor the receipt, unloading, and handling of components.
- Supervise the installation of towers, nacelles, hubs, and blades.
- Ensure compliance with the manufacturer’s assembly procedures and instructions.
- Monitor the quality of work execution and its compliance with technical requirements.
- Identify, document, and follow up on non-conformities.
- Establish and monitor punch lists through to closure.
- Enforce HSE rules and intervene immediately in the event of a dangerous situation.
- Coordinate technicians, installers, crane operators, and subcontractors present on site on a daily basis.
- Identify and report deviations relating to safety, quality, schedule, or costs to the Site Manager.
- Participate in inspections and preparation for the handover to the commissioning teams.
Technical Skills
- Good command of onshore wind turbine installation and assembly operations.
- Good knowledge of heavy lifting operations and associated constraints.
- Good command of HSE procedures and requirements applicable to wind farm sites.
- Ability to monitor the compliance and quality of completed works.
- Ability to identify and document non-conformities and monitor corrective actions.
- Good understanding of the interfaces between installation, inspection, and commissioning.
- Professional English is essential in an international technical environment.
Candidate Profile
- Technical education in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or an equivalent field.
- Significant experience in a site environment, with direct experience in wind turbine installation.
- Experience supervising technical teams and subcontractors on site.
- Good knowledge of the operational, HSE, and quality constraints specific to wind farm sites.
- GWO certifications appreciated or required depending on site requirements.
- Strong availability and mobility to work across different sites in France.
