Context:
As part of the expansion of rail infrastructure projects, our client is seeking an experienced Overhead Line (Catenary) Design Engineer capable of contributing during both preliminary and execution phases of Overhead Contact Line (OCL) systems, in full compliance with industry norms and standards.
Main Responsibilities:

Conduct design and execution studies for overhead contact systems (AVP – Preliminary Design, PRO – Detailed Design, EXE – Execution Studies)

Produce technical plans, installation diagrams, and calculation notes

Analyze technical constraints and propose context-specific solutions

Prepare technical documentation: study files, reports, and technical memos

Ensure technical coordination with internal teams, project managers, and external partners

Attend project progress and client validation meetings

Guarantee compliance of all studies with regulatory requirements and applicable standards (SNCF, RATP, etc.)
Profile Sought:
Education:
-
Engineering degree (or Bac+5 equivalent) with a focus in electrical engineering, railway systems, or infrastructure
Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience conducting catenary design studies in railway environments

In-depth knowledge of French technical standards and specifications (SNCF, RATP)
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); MicroStation is a plus
