Context:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a DRI plant, ensuring stable, efficient, and safe production.
The role is critical in driving operational performance, optimizing process efficiency, and maintaining high product quality standards in a gas-based ironmaking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily DRI production operations
- Ensure stable and efficient shaft furnace performance
- Monitor and optimize key production parameters:
- Metallization rate
- Gas consumption and efficiency
- Throughput and productivity
- Lead and coordinate:
- Shift supervisors
- Operations teams
- Control and track production KPIs, ensuring accurate reporting
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and procedures
- Support troubleshooting of operational issues and process deviations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in: Metallurgical Engineering; Chemical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering
- 10 to 15 years of experience in:
- DRI plants or ironmaking operations
- Minimum 5 years in a production management or supervisory leadership role
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:
- DRI process operations
- Shaft furnace performance and control
Experience in:
- KPI-driven production management
- Process optimization and performance improvement
Good knowledge of:
- Gas-based reduction processes
- Industrial plant operations and workflows
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
