Context
As part of a drinking water treatment plant project in Ukraine, ProjecTTech is seeking an experienced Quality Control Expert to oversee and ensure the effective implementation of quality requirements throughout construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
The Quality Control Expert will work closely with the project team, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives to ensure that works, materials, and equipment comply with approved specifications, drawings, applicable standards, and project quality requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan and associated quality control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, technical specifications, approved drawings, and applicable standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks on construction and installation activities.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, quality procedures, and inspection records.
- Inspect incoming materials and equipment and verify relevant certificates and documentation.
- Monitor civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and electromechanical works for compliance with approved requirements.
- Identify and document non-conformities and monitor corrective and preventive actions through closure.
- Coordinate inspections, tests, and acceptance activities with contractors and client representatives.
- Monitor contractors’ and subcontractors’ quality performance and compliance.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, non-conformity registers, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in project and site coordination meetings and report key quality issues.
- Support testing, commissioning, final inspections, punch-list management, and handover activities.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of construction and installation activities related to drinking water treatment plants.
- Strong knowledge of inspection, testing, non-conformity management, and corrective action processes.
- Experience with civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and electromechanical quality inspections.
- Ability to review technical specifications, drawings, Inspection and Test Plans, method statements, and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and recognized international quality management standards.
- Knowledge of material certification, traceability, inspection, and acceptance requirements.
- Strong inspection, auditing, reporting, and quality performance monitoring capabilities.
Candidate Profile
- Engineering degree or recognized qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
- Significant professional experience in quality control roles on infrastructure, industrial, water, or construction projects.
- Previous experience on drinking water or wastewater treatment plant projects is highly valued.
- Proven experience supervising and inspecting contractors and subcontractors in complex site environments.
- Quality certification or relevant inspection qualification is highly valued.
- Experience working within international and multidisciplinary project teams is preferred.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Availability to work on-site in Ukraine and start immediately.
