Context:
As part of ongoing developments in rail transport projects (heavy infrastructure, tramways, interconnections), our client is looking for an experienced Signaling Design Engineer specialized in producing Technical Signaling Plans. You will join a structured engineering team working on complex and high-stakes studies.
Main Responsibilities:

Produce, review, and validate Technical Signaling Plans in compliance with regulatory standards (IN, DES, IG, directives) and safety requirements

Contribute to the development of signaling programs and technical sizing during early design phases (AVP)

Draft installation reports (PVI) and ensure documentation traceability

Provide guidance and support to junior and intermediate staff in fundamental signaling studies

Actively participate in the continuous improvement of internal tools, methods, and processes (feedback, standardization, quality)

Coordinate with project teams, department managers, clients, and technical partners

Offer expert advice on complex technical issues and assist in incident analysis

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on signaling standards, practices, and regulatory developments
Profile Sought:
Education:

Bac+2 to Bac+5 in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Computing, or equivalent
Experience:
-
Minimum 10 years of experience in major railway projects, with solid expertise in railway signaling (SNCF or urban networks)

Strong proficiency in signaling documents: Technical Plans, Design Principles, Programs, PVI
Technical Skills:

Excellent knowledge of railway signaling systems and safety standards

Familiarity with SNCF signaling references and applicable regulations

Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Epure

Ability to lead a technical team and organize structured deliverables
