Context
As part of industrial projects related to the design and use of heavy equipment, we are looking for a Tooling Developer. You will take part in the design, development, and follow-up of technical solutions for machining, assembly, lifting, and maintenance of complex mechanical parts.
Main Responsibilities
Design and Development

Design and develop specific tooling for machining, assembly, lifting, or maintenance of heavy mechanical parts.

Carry out mechanical studies and dimensioning calculations (including manual calculations on site).

Define and implement tooling solutions adapted to technical and operational constraints.
Industrialization and Workshop Follow-up

Ensure testing, adjustment, and validation of tooling in the workshop.

Follow manufacturing and assembly phases in collaboration with suppliers and subcontractors.

Act as the main contact for operators to ensure feasibility and ergonomics of solutions.
Project Management and Coordination

Participate in planning, ensure technical follow-up, and meet deadlines.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of design and manufacturing processes.

Guarantee compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Profile Sought
-
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Bac+5).

First successful experience in tooling design, mechanical calculations, and workshop follow-up.

Proficiency in CATIA design tools.
Technical Skills
-
Mechanical calculations (including manual methods for quick validation).

3D CAD design (CATIA).

Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes (machining, welding, assembly).

Ability to work with heavy industrial equipment.
