Context
We are seeking an experienced Reporting Engineer to join our engineering and project delivery team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring engineering performance, consolidating project data, and delivering high-quality reporting to support informed decision-making across major infrastructure and construction projects.
This position requires a strong background in project controls, engineering management, and technical reporting within leading Tier-1 engineering consultancies or EPC contractors.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve engineering master schedule tracking tools.
- Establish and manage engineering document registers and design performance dashboards.
- Monitor and report engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Consolidate engineering data from all disciplines into accurate and professional weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management and client leadership.
- Track engineering deliverables against approved schedules and identify potential delays or critical risks.
- Monitor engineering design change logs and assess their impact on project milestones and deliverables.
- Proactively identify schedule slippages and recommend mitigation, recovery, or acceleration strategies.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure reporting consistency and data accuracy.
- Support project management with reliable reporting and performance analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Promote continuous improvement in reporting processes, data quality, and project controls.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a Reporting Engineer, Project Controls Engineer, or Engineering Management role.
- Previous experience with Tier-1 engineering consultancies, EPC contractors, or major infrastructure projects is essential.
- Strong understanding of engineering workflows, project controls, and schedule management.
- Experience supporting complex multidisciplinary engineering projects.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Project Controls methodologies.
- Strong expertise in engineering reporting and progress measurement.
- Proficiency in engineering scheduling concepts.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Advanced skills in data analysis and visualization.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to prepare executive-level technical reports with exceptional accuracy and clarity.
