Context
As part of the construction of a gigafactory, we are looking for an experienced HSE Site Manager to lead and coordinate Health, Safety, and Environmental issues on the construction site.
You will play a central role in risk prevention, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the deployment of a safety culture among all stakeholders. The assignment takes place in a demanding industrial environment, subject in particular to ICPE and high-threshold Seveso regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and deploy the HSE policy across the entire construction site.
- Ensure the application of regulatory requirements and HSE procedures.
- Supervise risk prevention related to construction activities.
- Ensure that ICPE and high-threshold Seveso requirements are taken into account.
- Coordinate the HSE activities of companies and subcontractors present on site.
- Carry out regular inspections and audits in the field.
- Identify risk situations and lead preventive and corrective actions.
- Analyze incidents, accidents, and dangerous situations and ensure follow-up of action plans.
- Lead HSE meetings, awareness sessions, and prevention activities.
- Monitor HSE indicators and reporting to project management.
- Support the construction teams in developing a demanding safety culture.
Technical Skills
- Proven expertise in HSE management on industrial construction sites.
- Very good knowledge of ICPE regulations.
- Significant experience on high-threshold Seveso industrial sites.
- Strong expertise in construction site risk prevention and analysis.
- Experience in HSE management of external companies and subcontractors.
- Ability to conduct inspections, audits, and incident analyses.
- Proficiency in monitoring HSE action plans and indicators.
Candidate Profile
- Higher education in HSE, QHSE, engineering, or an equivalent field.
- More than 10 years of experience in HSE, ideally on large-scale industrial construction projects.
- Proven experience in highly regulated industrial environments.
- Experience in ICPE and high-threshold Seveso environments is essential.
- Strong field presence and ability to interact with multiple companies.
- English essential in an international project context.
