Context
As part of high-voltage substation development and expansion projects, HV Substation Design Engineers are involved in the design and production of technical studies related to high-voltage infrastructure. Candidates may specialize in Civil Engineering, Structural Steelwork, or HV Electrical Engineering, with experience in the development of new HV substations.
Main Responsibilities
• Perform technical studies for HV substation projects.
• Produce and update technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD or Revit.
• Participate in the design of HV installations and infrastructure.
• Verify compliance of studies with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate technically with various project stakeholders and disciplines.
• Manage design modifications and study updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation and execution packages.
• Participate in technical meetings and design review sessions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and project technical constraints.
Candidate Profile
• Technical degree or Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, BIM, or a related field.
• Experience in engineering studies for new HV substation development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage infrastructure and substation environments.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments is appreciated.
• Ability to work effectively within project teams.
• Strong analytical skills, autonomy, and attention to detail.
Technical Skills
• Preparation and execution of HV technical studies.
• Production of technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and construction drawings.
• Knowledge of HV substations and high-voltage installations.
• Technical coordination across multiple project stakeholders and disciplines.
• Quality control of engineering studies and technical compliance.
