Role Context
We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer with strong expertise in Primavera P6 to support giga-scale infrastructure projects in Riyadh. The successful candidate will play a critical role in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and time control to ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
- Establish WBS, activity sequencing, logic links, and contractual milestones
- Monitor project progress and perform schedule variance and delay analysis
- Prepare progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, KPIs, and schedule narratives
- Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation and recovery plans
- Perform impact analysis, what-if scenarios, and recovery schedules
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, contracts, and project management teams
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, planning standards, and best practices
- Participate in project meetings and support management decision-making
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Construction, Project Management, or related field)
- 8–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling
- Proven experience on mega or giga infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project life cycles
- Ability to work under pressure in complex, fast-paced environments
- Results-driven with strong ownership and accountability
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
- Strong command of MS Excel and reporting tools
- Excellent skills in project planning, schedule control, and delay analysis
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
- Effective communication and coordination skills
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage
- Middle East / Saudi Arabia project experience is a plus
