Context
The Senior Schedule Engineer is responsible for leading the development, control, and optimization of project schedules across all phases. The role ensures accurate planning, progress monitoring, and proactive management of delays to support successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage master project schedules (Level 3 / Level 4)
- Define project sequencing, milestones, and critical activities
- Lead planning and scheduling activities across engineering, procurement, and construction phases
- Monitor progress and update schedules based on actual performance
- Perform critical path analysis (CPM) and identify schedule risks
- Analyse delays and propose recovery and mitigation plans
- Prepare high-level and detailed progress reports (weekly/monthly)
- Interface with project management, cost control, and site teams
- Review and validate contractors’ schedules and baseline programs
- Support claims analysis and extension of time (EOT) assessments
- Ensure integration between schedule, cost, and project progress
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of overall experience
- Minimum 5 years in a similar senior position
- Strong experience in planning and scheduling for large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary project schedules
Technical Skills
- Advanced expertise in planning and scheduling methodologies
- Proficiency in:
- Primavera P6 (mandatory – advanced level)
- Microsoft Project (optional)
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM)
- Experience in delay analysis, forensic planning, and recovery scheduling
- Understanding of project lifecycle (EPC / construction)
- Ability to integrate planning with cost control and project reporting
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
Certifications (Advantageous)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional – AACE)
- Any certification in project controls or planning
Soft Skills

- Excellent communication and reporting abilities
- Ability to work under pressure in complex environments

Additional Requirements
- Experience in mega projects or complex infrastructure environments
- Strong understanding of project risks and schedule drivers
- Experience in claims, EOT, and contractual schedule analysis is a strong advantage
- Ability to work in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
- Fluent in English (mandatory)
