Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Office Manager – Roads & Infrastructure to lead the technical office function for major road and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of technical documentation, execution drawings, quantity surveying, and engineering coordination while ensuring compliance with Saudi and international standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in road infrastructure projects and advanced proficiency in Civil 3D.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Technical Office team for roads and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review detailed execution drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Develop technical solutions and construction details for road and infrastructure works.
- Prepare executive plans for roads, box culverts, pipe culverts, slope protection, retaining structures, road barriers, drainage systems, and related infrastructure components.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform quantity surveying and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in accordance with Saudi and international standards.
- Verify quantities for project planning, procurement, cost control, and client submissions.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi road design specifications, Ministry requirements, and AASHTO standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, designers, and site teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support tendering activities through quantity take-offs, technical clarifications, and engineering documentation.
- Monitor design changes and manage technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering submittals, method statements, and material submittals.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical office staff
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Saudi Arabia.
- Proven experience managing the Technical Office for major roads and infrastructure projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of road engineering, drainage systems, culverts, slope protection, and related infrastructure works.
- Extensive experience in quantity surveying and BOQ preparation.
- Thorough understanding of Saudi road specifications, international standards, and AASHTO design requirements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software.
- Fluent in English and Arabic (reading, writing, and speaking).
