Context

The position involves managing all project scheduling activities throughout the complete project lifecycle, from schedule preparation and baseline definition through construction monitoring, close-out, and lessons learned.

The Time Schedule Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across project phases, ensuring the creation, consolidation, maintenance, and continuous update of the integrated project schedule. The role requires strong coordination with multidisciplinary contributors and the ability to challenge existing sequences, define milestones, and ensure alignment between individual contractor schedules and overall project objectives.

Main Responsabilities

  • Develop, consolidate, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent tools.
  • Establish project baselines, key milestones, critical paths, sequencing, and reporting calendars.
  • Review existing schedules and challenge sequences, durations, dependencies, and assumptions.
  • Ensure contractor and partner schedules are aligned with overall project milestones and objectives.
  • Monitor actual progress against the approved baseline and identify schedule variances.
  • Analyze critical and near-critical paths and identify potential recovery opportunities.
  • Develop and support mitigation, recovery, and acceleration plans when required.
  • Produce accurate and standardized planning data on a regular basis.
  • Develop master and discipline schedules defining activity sequences and lead times.
  • Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning interfaces into the overall schedule.
  • Assess resource, material, equipment, and workforce requirements impacting schedule performance.
  • Coordinate workflow and activity sequencing to achieve project milestones.
  • Identify operations causing delays and adjust schedules to address unforeseen conditions.
  • Provide regular schedule status, progress, risk, and forecast reports to project and site management.
  • Coordinate schedule inputs from all contributors and ensure timely consolidation.
  • Lead schedule reviews and drive contributors to provide reliable planning information.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements throughout planning and construction activities.

Technical Skills

  • Expert knowledge of Primavera P6 and strong proficiency in project scheduling tools.
  • Advanced expertise in integrated schedule development, baseline management, and schedule control.
  • Strong knowledge of critical path analysis, progress measurement, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ability to develop and manage master and discipline schedules.
  • Expertise in schedule recovery, mitigation, and acceleration strategies.
  • Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and project delivery interfaces.
  • Knowledge of project databases, reporting systems, and planning methodologies.
  • End-to-end knowledge of data center projects is preferred.
  • End-to-end knowledge of complex industrial or power project delivery is required.
  • Strong understanding of project governance and construction handover processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Engineering degree or Master’s degree in a discipline relevant to complex industrial or data center projects.
  • Proven experience as a Time Schedule Manager, Senior Planner, or equivalent planning leadership position.
  • Significant experience managing project controls or planning teams.
  • Experience on complex data center or critical facility projects is highly valued.
  • Strong experience coordinating clients, contractors, multidisciplinary teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with QA/QC processes and construction handover activities.
  • Ability to take ownership of end-to-end schedule deliverables and coordinate multiple planning contributors.
  • Professional proficiency in English and French.
