Context
As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for a VPU Business Manager to work on public electricity projects within a CITEOS agency. You will be responsible for the overall management of your projects, from client relations through to the execution of the works, ensuring the technical, financial, and operational performance of the projects.
While you are not necessarily required to be a specialist in Roadway and Urban Utilities (VPU), you have solid knowledge of public electricity, public procurement contracts, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of public electricity projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local authorities, public-sector clients, and partners.
- Respond to tenders and prepare technical and financial proposals.
- Manage the contractual, budgetary, and financial monitoring of projects.
- Plan construction activities and coordinate human, material, and technical resources.
- Supervise construction teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with costs, schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Supervise the execution of construction projects through to completion and handover.
- Ensure the application of quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Provide activity reporting and monitor performance indicators.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of public electricity networks (street lighting, external electrical networks, urban equipment).
- Proficiency in business management and project management.
- Knowledge of public procurement contracts and related procedures.
- Skills in financial management, budget monitoring, and profitability analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of technical regulations and QHSE requirements.
- Valid driver’s license (Category B) is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Higher education degree in Electrical Engineering, Public Works, or equivalent (Bachelor’s to Master’s level).
- Proven experience in business management in the fields of public electricity, external utility networks, or infrastructure.
- Experience managing teams and coordinating construction sites.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously and make operational decisions.
- Experience with an infrastructure, public works, or energy company is considered an advantage.
